The Lighter Side of Life (Sept)
This page is a brief daily journal that may interest some JPN partners. WARNING! These entries may NOT be spiritual in nature. Some of us (mainly me) need to lighten up even in the middle of trouble, problems and bearing burdens. God created man with the ability and need to laugh and enjoy His creation. Don't wait until you get to Heaven to laugh. Check back often for new entries on this page!
Sept 9, 2007 (oops, Sept 7th)
Not too much laughter, well maybe some. AOL cut me off for about an hour in the middle of the night. It happened last month. It turns out we can only send 30 emails at one time and they must be spaced apart by 2-3 minutes. Last month they were supposed to list us as "bulk mailers". Turns out that was not approved. So here I am at 3am calling a "toll free" number in the USA which is NOT free. I used to complain about pushing buttons while communicating with a computer. Now I have to yell into the telephone and have the computer ask me to repeat what I said. That was NOT funny. Finally I got to a place where I could speak to a Tech Rep. As soon as she got on the phone and we greeted each other I asked her what part of India she was in. After a few seconds pause Rachel decided to be honest with me and said she was in Bangalore, India. Beautiful place. I was in Japan calling the USA and talking to someone in India who finally solved my problem, at least for this month. We went to a Japanese buffet today. It has been a few months since we went there last. You have a full food bar, sushi bar, and refrigerated meats and vegetables you cook over a gas grill at your table. It costs about US $9 each. Sharon has been on a diet/fast and has lost 20 pounds the last two months. Now she craves meat which is new for her. We had a nice time. One of the cooks brought out a special meat dish specially prepared just for us. It was good. Some of you were praying for me to lose weight a few months ago. You folks must not be doing your job in prayer.
Today we did something every couple should do from time to time. Go to the dentist together! Finally I have received my crown, no not the one mentioned in Revelation. It is on top of a molar tooth. Thought I was all finished and the dentist made an appointment for teeth cleaning. Why does it hurt to be clean? Remember cleaning your children's faces and ears. They cried like you were killing them. Maybe it did really hurt. That's all for now. I am sure something funny will come up again later today or in the middle of the night.
Remember to Rejoice in the Lord!
Dan
